After Hair Transplant

Right After the Operation - First Night

After hair transplantation, we apply a bandage to the area used as a donor. You should also wear a forehead band in order to prevent swelling in the area after the procedure.

Small crusts and mild redness may occur in the area we choose as a donor, along with the area where we transplant hair. Crusting and redness will pass within 10-15 days.

It is very normal to feel swelling, itching and mild pain in the area after the procedure. Cold compresses, emollient lotion products, and pain relievers can be used as recommended by your doctor.

Complications that can be seen in the post-procedure area are as follows;

Swelling: It is normal to see swelling around the face and eyes a few days after the hair transplant operation. Ice applications will be the best solution until the swelling in these areas decreases. Since swelling complaints go away on their own after 5-7 days, there is no need to use a medication.

Itching: A significant part of the patients begin to feel itching 2-3 days after the operation. This complaint is seen as a sign of improvement. You should not scratch the transplanted area. Itching may persist for several days.

Burning Sensation: 2-4 days after hair transplantation, a burning sensation can be seen in the donor area. For the burning sensation in the donor area, you can wait for absorption by applying the moisturizing lotion recommended by your doctor 3-4 times a day.

1st Day After Hair Transplantation

On the first day after hair transplantation, we perform dressing, PRP or laser treatments in our clinic.

After dressing, the bandage in the donor area needs to be removed.

2nd Day After Hair Transplant

You should start washing your hair by paying attention to the steps indicated by the lotion and post-hair transplant shampoos recommended by your doctor. In this process, hair washing processes are effective in healing your scalp and eliminating the complaints of crusting.

After Hair Transplant 5-7. Day

5-7 days after the procedure, your transplanted hair becomes stronger. In addition, your hair does not move anymore when you touch it. However, you should not injure the transplanted area and do not perform procedures such as nailing the area. Itching that starts in this period is a sign of recovery and you do not need to take any action.

After Hair Transplant 15-30. Day

When 15-20 days pass after hair transplantation, your appearance will return to its former state. In other words, the difference between the hair we transplant and your hair disappears. In this way, you cannot be understood from the outside in any way that you have had a hair transplant.

Between 1-3 Months After Hair Transplantation

During this period, you may experience shock shedding. Shock shedding is the sudden loss of hair in the transplanted area. After this stage, the growth process of the transplanted hair is seen.

Between 4-5 Months After Hair Transplant

After 4 months of hair transplantation, the growth period accelerates. After 5-6 months, your hair will be 50% of the result you want.

Between 6-12 Months After Hair Transplant

Your transplanted hair still continues to grow at full speed. You will also feel that your hair strands are starting to get stronger and thicker.

Between 12-18 Months After Hair Transplant

You should wait up to 18 months for the final result in hair transplant procedures. You can see all of your hair in the transplanted area.

Do not forget that at the end of 18 months you have dense, bushy, strong and long hair.
